Greetings.  I am Jay Thompson, Associate Professor of Political Science at the College of Central Florida in Ocala.

I am also currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  I hold my MA in Political Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa.  I earned my BA in International Studies from the University of South Florida.

I currently primarily teach Introduction to American Government, along with courses in International Relations and State and Local Government.

My research currently focuses on state civic education policy and American political development.
